Acrylic Paintings
Acrylic paintings. Whether detailed objects, abstract designs, or a combination, these works are created with the use of acrylic paints. Although the majority will be on canvas, some will be on wood, or another subsurface.
Resin Artwork
These works will involve the use of resin. A few many simply have an outer coating of resin, while others are designed by actually painting using colored resin as a medium. The majority of these works will be on wood, or another sturdy subsurface due to the weight of resin. A few piece may be acrylic paintings done on canvas, which have then been given a resin finish.
Mixed Media
Some pieces involve multiple mediums to create. These may include acrylic paints, resin, cloth, ink, glass, glitter, natural elements such as wood, mica, and stone, even crushed crystals. The finished product may be generalized as a painting, or a sculpture, or a decorative item
.About Me
Growing up in rural New Hampshire, I took my first art classes at the age of 12. From the start, those classes were where I felt most at home. From the seventh grade through high school, I was never not enrolled in at least one art class each term. My works were entered in local art fairs/contests and won multiple prizes.
After high school, I continued studying art at the University of Miami. In 1984 I received a degree in Art History. Although my career path led to jobs in education and Real Estate, I never stopped creating art. In my off hours, I was often busy creating things to be given as gifts, or used in relation to my involvement in organizations such as the PTA of my son's school, or even as learning tools for my classrooms.
